The air-cooled Porsche 911s with dry sump lubrication were equipped with a larger volume of motor oil compared to the water-cooled variants. The air-cooled models typically had a total oil capacity of around 10-12 quarts, while the water-cooled versions had a smaller oil capacity of around 8-9 quarts. This larger oil capacity in the air-cooled models helped to ensure better cooling and lubrication for the engine, especially during high-performance driving. **

Dry sump lubrication is advantageous for lowered cars because it eliminates the need for an oil pan, which is typically the lowest point of the engine and susceptible to damage from speed bumps, potholes, or other road hazards. By removing the oil pan, the risk of it being damaged is significantly reduced, allowing lowered cars to navigate uneven roads without worrying about oil pan damage. Additionally, dry sump systems provide better oil control and lubrication efficiency, which can be beneficial for high-performance engines often found in lowered cars. **

The exact purpose of a dry sump lubrication system in the automotive sector is to provide a more efficient and reliable way of lubricating the engine. It uses an external reservoir to store the oil, which allows for better oil control, reduced oil starvation during high-speed cornering, and improved engine cooling. Air-cooled Porsches, such as the 911, did not have a dry sump lubrication system in the traditional sense. Instead, they used a "dry sump-like" system where the oil was stored in a separate tank, but it was not a true dry sump system. Today, water-cooled Porsches, such as the 911 Carrera, do use a dry sump lubrication system. This allows for better engine performance and reliability, especially during high-performance driving. **

No, everything is not dry when the washing machine is running. The washing machine uses water to clean the clothes, so there is moisture present during the washing cycle. However, once the washing cycle is complete and the clothes are dried, everything will be dry again. **

Recommended trail running shoes should provide good traction, stability, and protection for uneven terrain. Look for shoes with a durable outsole, a rock plate for underfoot protection, and a secure fit to prevent slipping. Some popular brands for trail running shoes include Salomon, Brooks, Altra, and Hoka One One. It's also important to consider your individual foot shape and running style when choosing the right pair of trail running shoes. **
